CBA assumes and integrally respects the concept of environment responsibility. In its activities of prospecting and extracting bauxite mineral, in mines located in the municipalities of Poços de Caldas e Itamarati de Minas, in the State of Minas Gerais, CBA searches to prevent environmental impacts, together with the recovery of the areas.

The technical teams of the company perform in conformity with rigorous environmental regulations, sharing diagnostics, work models, experiences, technologies and control methods with the most representative governmental and non-governmental organisms directed at environmental management. Their work focuses principally, on the recovery of vegetation, animals and other natural heritage contained in the areas where machines and men intervene for the extraction of minerals.

The environmental actions of CBA are supported by investments in technology and technical qualification of its employees. The project of environmental recovery in areas of mineral extraction includes the maintenance of a plant nursery, with natural and exotic species, for the purpose of reforesting.
