CBA aluminium foils are increasingly used by producers of packaging due to some of its characteristics, such as waterproof and opacity, which avoids the passage of light, oxygen and humidity, resistance to corrosion, rigorous quality control, ease to fold, quality offered for printing and guarantee of the integrity of the packaged finished goods.
In the packaging sector, aluminum is used, mainly, in the pharmaceutical, hygiene, food and drink markets. Some of the products most used are the blister – structure applied as a seal in PVC recipients laminated with paper, as packaging for chocolates, butter, labels and cigarettes, amongst other – thermo-sealed top – used in plastic containers, as cups of water, yogurts, lacteous desserts, margarine – and laminated with PEBD – structure used as a thermo-sealed top in plastic containers (as a seal or tops for water cups).
Laminate foils
The use of advanced technology and the adoption of rigorous
control on all the production processes allowed the
sheet rolling department to obtain the ISO 9000 certification,
version 2000, for natural and coated aluminum foils,
with a thickness of up to 0.400mm.
CBA has an installed capacity
of 50 thousand tons/year and produces aluminum foils
obtained through successive stages of cold rolling,
making available to its customers rolled products with
variable thickness of up to 6.35 microns.
